Andres hails from San Antonio, Chile. At the age of 14, he lost his entire right arm in an accident. So what does he decide to do with himself? Well, of course, he becomes an acoustic guitarist! Since he has no right hand with which to strike or strum the strings, he has developed a technique which he calls “Tatap”. It’s a blend of hammering on, pulling off, legato play and tapping. In addition to both fingering and sounding chords, which are complicated enough with one hand…he also pulls off some very sweet fill licks (very difficult).
