In My Mind – Asperger’s Syndrome
A boy named Alex Olinkiewicz takes the time to explain, from his perspective, what it’s like to have Asperger’s Syndrome. Very interesting stuff…especially if you know someone (as I do) who is thusly affected.

I saw a fascinating documentary about this on the BBC when I lived in London a few years back. What was startling was how prevalent it was among men who chose to become engineers. In one case, a man described how he knew he loved his wife (now ex-wife) and child but he didn’t know how to express affection or how to read other people’s emotions. Most of his behavioral responses were learned, not natural.

February 13th, 2009 at 8:35 pmFortunately, I have such persons around me who love me more than anything in their life but I know I am patient. I am now and it is worse to have such behavior at this age but I have to live with it forever. I am not sad about the boy ALex because he knew that already and learned how to live with it.
