Qian Hongyan: Legless Young Girl

Qian Hongyan had to have her legs removed after a car accident on October 21, 2000. Her family in China is poor and couldn’t afford prosthetic legs. Instead, she used a basketball to help her move and two wooden props to drag herself. Doctors from China’s Rehabilitation Research Center in Beijing noticed her and committed to get her set up with prosthetics. They finally acheived this goal in May of 2008.

    Perfect example of the strong will.

    This girl definitely will struggle till the end, with such a strong will that I have no doubt that she achieve every aim in her life.

    Seems children are stronger than some adults. Kids sure learn to adapt quicker than older people. This little gal is to be commended on perserverence.
