Robot Fish
You may have heard about human Robots but now there are also fish robots.Yes these robots look like fish and swim like fish, but these robotic fish have special purpose. These robotic fishes are fitted with sensor and are automatically controlled,they are dropped in oceans to detect pollution from the chemicals and fertilizers.This helps officials to map in real time sources and level of pollution which help them take necessary steps.

Robotic fish to detect pollution is indeed a very novel idea.I dont think anyone can make out the difference between the robotic fish and real fish unless told.They look and behave so similarly to fish,it would be fun to know that their companion fishes were able to tell the difference or not.
September 2nd, 2009 at 11:14 pmI have watched something on tv about robot fish. Its great that we can use them for scientific purposes to detect pollution etc, without disturbing other creatures and fish.
September 7th, 2009 at 8:21 amAnd the solution was so simple… I just saw this documentary and the guys actually performed surgery on a tuna to attach a sensor and monitor pollution. This way is far more environmentally friendly!
