Killer big Mel turns playful :-)
Have you ever seen a killer whales actually playing with their prey? This video is going to take you by surprise. These sea lions cubs are playing on the coast of Argentina when this grampus mammal along with her brother Bernard feed themselves by attacking these innocent cubs. After gratifying their hunger Bernard get hold of this another kiddo sea lion and start playing volleyball with her sister (of course the ball is poor cub). Its a bewildering site when the whopper throws back the cub on the shore after amusing themselves. Is this just playfulness or something else? Scientist believes that these whales are bracing themselves for more rigorous hunting they need to do in future.

They are intelligent creatures and amazing hunters. What goes on in their heads?
August 18th, 2009 at 4:55 pmIt was beyond my capacity to understand the behaviour of the mammal. An animal playing with its prey is a rare sight. I admit that I thoroughly enjoyed viewing the video. The sight of the killer whale was awe-inspiring. I wish I could have a firsthand experience of seeing the whale.
