They provide microfinance loans to folks around the world who want to start or improve their business, but who lack the necessary funding. Her family in China is poor and couldn’t afford prosthetic legs. Instead, she used a basketball to help her move and two wooden props to drag herself. Doctors from China’s Rehabilitation Research Center in Beijing noticed her and committed to get her set up with prosthetics. They finally acheived this goal in May of 2008.
